Consumers travelling by air this Diwali season are in for a treat as air fares  have fallen considerably.

Air fares this Diwali week have gone down by 25-30% compared to last year Diwali season. This fall has been mainly attributed towards the rise in the number of seats and strict monitoring over the pricing.

Earlier this year Supreme Court had asked DGCA( Directorate General of Civil Aviation)  to monitor the pricing of the seats performed by the airlines and has also issued a notice to the airline to increase the number of available seats by 9%.

Airliners such as Indigo, SpiceJet, AirIndia etc. are trying to attract more consumers through competitive pricing. . So start packing your bags and fly this Diwali -)
