Mutual funds(MF) and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) continued with their selling spree in the stock market and have offloaded shares worth more than Rs. 4000 crores. The funds sold shares worth a net Rs. 4018 crores in equity market this Oct. and pulled out Rs. 2800 crore in Sept. as per latest data available with SEBI
In comparison to the above, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) made net inflow of more than Rs.15000 crores during previous month (Oct) and have invested Rs. 3000 crore till now in the month of November.
With the equity market remaining volatile in 2013, DIIs and MFs have increased their focus on debt market to benefit from higher interest rates and lower risk. DIIs have invested staggering Rs. 37171 cr in debt market in Oct.
